EOD Update (28 Feb 2006)

ASIATIC & DGATE made strong moves today.

OILCORP was up 8.5c but gave back some of its gains to close 5c up.

LKT hit a high of 2.63 before giving back all its gains to close flat at 2.51 again. UMW up 20c before closing up 10c only. Looks like many rallies failing to gather momentum in this climate....

Latest purchase:

LHH: +2,000 (2.68) ... Total 2,000 (Worth a punt at this price)

Latest disposals:

UNISEM: -3,000 (1.77) ... Balance 0 (End of the road for now)

MMSV: -20,000 (0.325), -10,000 (0.315) ... Balance 30,000 (Lousy performance)

Multi-Day Update (23 Feb 2006)

Was away for several days, with no Net access. Challenging trying to monitor prices and trade via SMS. Anyway, unloaded some positions just before I went away as a precaution, not that I really absolutely thought it was time to sell those stocks (for some, yes). The very next day, news of bird flu hit the wire and general sentiment went down the drain, led by heavy losers like LHH...

Will go the other way around this time since most disposals were made earlier.

Latest disposals:

SCOMIMR: -4,000 (1.38) ... Balance 10,000

OSK-WB: -10,000 (0.255) ... Balance 0 (Wrong timing on entry, seems to have stabilised now)

LIONDIV: -4,000 (4.00) ... Balance 8,000 (see partial repurchase below)

KEYWEST: -10,000 (0.24) ... Balance 20,000

IJMPLNT: -3,000 (1.18) ... Balance 2,000

KANNAL: -15,000 (0.185) ... Balance 0, (Phew... finally out of this at almost breakeven)

LKT: -2,000 (1.98), -1,000 (2.36) ... Balance 1,000 (I sold 2,000 first and the next day it goes up 40 sen! Happens everytime ...)

CAROTEC: -4,000 (0.60) ... Balance 16,000 (still stable uptrend)

NALURI: -15,000 (0.59) ... Balance 0 (Had to take a hit on this. Wrong timing on entry, should have been more patient)

Latest purchases:

LIONDIV: +2,000 (3.82) ... Total 10,000

FABER: +10,000 (0.365) ... Total 32,500

As evident from the above, I have tried to do some housekeeping and gotten rid of non-performing stocks. Had to take some losses here and there, but it sure feels good after the dirty deed is done. Try it once in a while...

Aha!

Guess what else bucked the trend today? .... MMSV. I sense something afoot here, watch it closely. In a way, I like down days like this, because stocks that perform strongly are so easy to pick out, they stick out like a sore thumb. But if market crashes tomorrow, then maybe forget it.

EOD Update (16 Feb 2006)

Busy, busy ... didn't have time to check the market until now (3.50 am), tho' I did receive several sms throughout the day telling me about "bloodbath, etc". Well, there's nothing like a screenful of red to remind me never to get too complacent, tho' it's not as bad as I thought. My four recent new trades are now distinctly underwater (FABER, NALURI, OSK-WB, SAPCRES). Guess I read the overall market direction wrong.

ASIATIC on the other hand, bucked the overall trend, made another move and hit a high of 2.60 today, of course after I sold some the other day. Next time I sell anything, people should start buying ... heh heh.

Anyway, no trades today.

EOD Update (7 Feb 2006)

Sheesh ... got whipsawed by LIONCOR again ... difficult counter to predict this. Still, a gain is a gain, is a gain.

On the other hand LIONDIV staged a strong recovery after yesterday's mild correction. CAROTEC also moving back to test recent highs.

Latest purchase:

UDSCAP-WA: +10,000 (0.135) ... Total 20,000

LIONDIV: +2,000 (3.64) ... Total 10,000 ... sooooo cheap ... err, I think.

Lunch Update (6 Feb 2006)

Hmmm... general market direction uncertain again. LIONDIV down to 3.60 after hitting intra-day high of 3.80 ... ouch! that's a lot of money left on the table....

Latest disposals:

LIONCOR: -5,000 (0.745) ... Balance 6,000

EOD Update (3 Feb 2006)

Sheesh ... LIONCOR closed up 18c today, surpassing even LIONDIV's daily gain. Whole LION Group seems to be moving. TIMECOM performing well after recent shakeout to 0.50 level. Expect it to move strongly up now, until 3G results announced.

Latest purchase:

UDSCAP: +10,000 (0.41), +10,000 (0.42) ... Total 20,000

UDSCAP-WA: +10,000 (0.15) ... Total 10,000 ... massive volume last Friday caught my eye.

/ichithekiller

Lunch Update (3 Feb 2006)

Yipes... many of my counters up today. SUNRISE, LIONCOR, LKT, UNISEM, GTRONIC, apart from the ever-reliable LIONDIV and KNM. Even MNC is making a strong comeback (phew... lucky I doubled up at 0.36!) Market volume also strong, against expectations, as I expected most participants to be still on holiday or waiting for next Monday. Funny thing is, there seems to be real strength in the current upward moves. Could we really be at the beginning of a new mini-bull run which is sustainable at least in the medium-term?

Even PWORTH has bounced back strongly. After sitting on a loss for months and dumping half my holdings at the first (short-lived) opportunity to get out even, it managed to hit 0.59 today (Cost: 0.51).

Latest purchase:

MMSV: +10,000 (0.315) ... Total 50,000

Latest disposal:

PWORTH: 3,000 (0.585) ... Balance 2,000

/ichithekiller

Note: Not sure if I'm right, but am sensing some accumulation on GPACKET. Could be poised for a strong upward move soon.
